Market: Wales win
Odds:
Knowing that three points will be enough to secure an automatic route to next year s European Championships, Wales will welcome Hungary to Cardiff on Tuesday night.
Starting with the hosts, putting in arguably their most eye-catching performance and landing a 2-0 win out in Azerbaijan over the weekend, Wales appear to have saved their best for the back end of qualifying. Also battling from behind to snatch a point off of World Cup finalists Croatia last month, Ryan Giggs men are unbeaten in their last five matches across all formats and the former Manchester United icon will know that victory on Tuesday will see them punch a ticket to EURO 2020. Holding the best defensive record in Group E and the mood in their camp continuing to soar, Wales should be looking to extend on their recent purple patch in midweek.
As for the visitors, despite opening Group E in some style, Hungary have since come crashing back down to earth. Suffering a 2-1 loss against Uruguay in a friendly matchup over the weekend, Marco Rossi s men have lost four of their last five across all formats, a run highlighted by their 3-0 hammering against Croatia last month. A huge part of Hungary s continued struggles at the back end of the year have come down to some woeful displays on foreign soil. Tuesday s guests have suffered back-to-back defeats on the road and they have also remarkably recorded just a single victory outside of Budapest since November 2016.
Bet: Wales 7/10 to beat Hungary in Tuesday s EURO 2020 qualifier
